At Print Ready, we are committed to providing a safe and secure environment to shop and endeavour to build trust and confidence with all of our customers both offline and online. Specifically, we want to stress that Print Ready is not in the business of selling or trading your data, specifically your email, to any companies or businesses for marketing reasons.

This policy details how we use the information we collect about you. This policy may change over time, so please check each time you order to ensure you are fully aware of how your data is used. The policy below was released in February 2020.

What personal data is collected?

Personal data is only collected if it is voluntarily provided by you as part of your online order. This may include opening an account or signing up to our newsletter. We will use information you supply to complete and process your order.

If you register for our newsletter, your name and e-mail will only be used for Print Ready’s advertising purposes and will continue to do so until you unsubscribe from our newsletter. This can be done with ease at any time.

In accordance with our terms of business policy, we reserve the right to store customer artwork / print data both electronically and locally for a period of one year or less. At which stage, we may move artwork / print data from our local storage to a cloud based storage which may be stored for a further period of 5 years. Artwork / print data may contain sensitive customer information and personal data such as an order number, company name, telephone numbers, email address and project name. This information was either supplied or requested by you to be included on your printed material at the time of ordering. We manage the storage of such print data in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 2018.

What are cookies?
As with most websites, printready.ie use cookies to collect information. A cookie is a very small data file that is placed on your computer, phone or tablet while you browse our website. Cookies are used to ‘remember’ when your device or computer accesses our websites. Cookies are required for effectively running this website and to help you with your shopping experience online. They are also used to tailor various products and services which are advertised to you online.

What information is collected?
Cookies can collect information about your purchasing and browsing behaviour when you access our website using the same computer or device. This can include data about viewed pages, purchased products and the journey you take around our website. We never use cookies to collect information such as your name, postal address or contact details. We only use cookies to monitor and track your browsing journey and purchasing behaviour.

How are cookies stored and managed?
Cookies stored on your computer or device when visiting our websites are created and used by:

  • Print Ready, and are required to facilitiate you to a make an online purchase on printready.ie
  • third parties who assist Print Ready with Print Ready marketing programmes
  • third parties who transmit web advertisements on behalf of Print Ready.

What are cookies used for?
The main reasons cookies are collected are;

  1. For technical purposes which are essential to effectively run our website, specifically in relation to payment transactions and customer site navigation.
  2. For Print Ready to market to you, notably in relation to web banner advertising and targeted ads.
  3. To allow Print Ready to collect data about your shopping patterns and browsing behaviour.
  4. To monitor the success of our advertising and marketing campaigns.

How do I disable cookies on my computer or device?
If you are looking to disable cookies you will have to change the setting in your website browser settings to reject cookies. How to do this will depend on the specific browser you use. Simply google ‘how to I disable cookies in xxxxxx?’ replacing xxxxx with your browser name.

What happens when I disable cookies?
This will depend on the cookies you choose to disable, but in general, printready.ie will not operate properly if cookies are disabled. Disabling third party cookies will not stop you from making an online purchase however if you disable all cookies, you will then be unable to make a purchase on our website.

Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to collect standard online information and data about user behaviour and visitor patterns. We use such third party softwear to gather information such as the number of visitors to our site and the different parts of the site they visit. All data gathered using Google Analytics is processed anonomously and cannot be used to identify anyone. We never make, and never allow Google to make, any effort or attempt to identify users who visit our website.

Mailchimp
When registering for our monthly newsletter, we must collect personal information about you. This information is used to notify you about items that you asked us to tell you about; to contact you about promotions and offers; to verify our records are correct and to occassionally survey you to make sure you are happy and satisfied with our service. We never buy, sell, rent or trade email databases or lists with any other organisation, individual or businesses.

We use MailChimp to create and deliver our newsletter. MailChimp is a third-party service provider. We compile statistics around email interaction such as openings and clicks to help us appraise, monitor and improve our electronic newsletters. At any time, you can unsubscribe from our newsletter by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails.

Tawk.to
Tawk is a third-party softwear provider which is used for live online chat and various support functionality. Typical interactions can and may include the supply of voluntary information by you, the user for the purpose of assistance with an enquiry or order. Any information provided to us via Tawk may be used to discuss information you wish to discuss, or to tell you about items you requested information about, or to contact you at a later date if we require additional information to faciliate your order.

In addition to volunteered information, information relating to your operating system, internet browser, links both inbound and outbound, geographical location, resolution and equipment type may be used for statistical purposes. For more info please consult Tawks’ Data Policy.

Data Security
We rightfully secure and protect our website and related systems against loss, damage, destruction, access, modification or distribution by all persons unauthorised or otherwise using technical measures. All customer accounts can only be accessed by inputting the users login and password. You should always keep your personal access code and logins safe and confidential, and should always log out and close the browser window once finished. This is particulary so if you are using a shared computer or device.
