Flat cards are single cards printed on both sides, giving two printable surfaces. Folded cards are scored and folded to give four printable surfaces. Flat formats suit shorter response requirements; folded formats suit couples with more fields to include or who want the card to feel more considered as an object.

At minimum include a reply-by date, attendance confirmation with space for guest names, meal choice if required by the venue, and a dietary requirements field. Optional additions include evening transport preferences, a song request for the evening entertainment, and separate confirmation fields for day and evening guests if applicable.

Seven formats are available: A6 flat, DL flat, A5 flat, 150mm square flat, small folded (A5 to A6), large folded (A4 to A5), and square folded (150mm). All are printed full colour on 350gsm premium digital cardstock and supplied with envelopes.

Supply a print-ready PDF in CMYK colour mode with 3mm bleed on all sides at the correct finished size. For folded formats, supply a flat sheet showing all four panels. Confirm the layout and fold direction with PrintReady.ie before finalising. Keep all text and response fields at least 4mm inside the trim line.

It is strongly advisable. Consistent card weight, fonts, and design elements across the full stationery suite give a more cohesive result. Ordering invitations and RSVP cards together through PrintReady.ie ensures matching card stock and colour reproduction across both items.

Order one per household invited rather than one per individual guest, as a couple living together shares one invitation and one RSVP card. Add five to ten extra as a buffer for replacements and keepsakes. For a guest list of 120 individuals, 80 to 90 RSVP cards is typically sufficient.

RSVP cards are sent with invitations, which typically go out six to twelve weeks before the wedding. Allow at least one to two weeks from artwork submission for production and delivery. The reply-by date on the card should give guests four to six weeks to respond, allowing time to confirm final numbers with the venue.

The card itself is priced the same as other formats. An Post applies a surcharge to square envelopes as they require manual sorting. Factor this into your postage budget if choosing the square format.
