Products

There are three options for designing and customizing a product. Click a product on the left-hand panel and choose one of the options.

1. Custom Design: lets you customize the products. Click it to open the design studio and use multiple tools to create your own design.

2. Upload Design: using this option, you can upload your own JPG, JPEG, GIF, PNG, EPS, AI, PDF and PSD images.

3. Browse Design: use this to select hundreds of pre-loaded templates. Work on them or customize them through our design studio.

The type of paper used for difference purposes is expressed in weight. In the countries following the European system, it is grammes per square metre (gsm or g/m2 or simply g) and in the US system it is Pound (lb).

The paper used for writing/printing (letterheads and such stationery) is generally between 60 to 120 gsm (20 to 70 lb) and is called the paper or text stock. Anything heavier than this is considered the card stock, i.e. the paper used for business cards, postcards, greeting cards, etc.

Coated papers are available in two finishes – glossy (shiny and smooth) and matt (flat and lusterless). Coated glossy papers reflect the light evenly so they are suitable for almost all types of printing jobs. Glossy papers have a good ink holdout, which is important for creating sharp, bright images.

Shipping & Delivery

Most orders take 2-7 working days. Bigger or specialist jobs take longer, and the date shows on each product page. Need it quicker? Give us a call.

All delivery times start from when you approve your artwork up to the day of dispatch. If there are delays with getting your artwork signed off, this will mean delivery will be delayed. Also, we cannot guarantee next day delivery with our outsourced couriers during peak and seasonal times.

The turnaround time depends on the specific product and is determined by the number of business days required for production. We will initiate processing your order once the following criteria are met:

The print-ready artwork has been uploaded
Full payment has been received
The customer has approved the PDF proof

Shipping charges are determined by factors such as the quantity and weight of packages, the destination Eircode or postcode, and the selected shipping service.

Our delivery services encompass the entire process from processing and printing to drying, packaging, and shipping your order to you. The speed of delivery varies depending on product availability and the shipping address.

We use DPD and GLS overnight couriers, plus An Post and Wheels. Delivery is a flat rate or by weight, depending on the product. The price shows in your basket as you add each item.

Yes, and collection is included in the price. We're at Print Ready, 275 Glasnevin Avenue, Dublin 11, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (closed 1 to 2pm for lunch). Wait for our "ready" message before you travel and bring your order details.

Sometimes! Call or email us before 11am and, if we can make it happen, we will. Faster turnaround carries a small surcharge, and our lowest prices come with the longest lead times.

Photograph the box and the goods, keep the packaging and tell us within 2 days of delivery. We'll sort it with the courier.

Give us a full, accurate address and tell us about any access issues. If a delivery fails because of the address or no one being available, redelivery charges may apply.

Printing

We use the latest print production and prepress technology to ensure that colours are reproduced as accurately as possible. There may however be slight variations in your printing not being an identical replica, however we find in these instances, most people think that the latest prints often look better!

Absolutely. Here at Print Ready we have a team of talented graphic designers each with their own areas of speciality and accomplished skill sets. They are onhand by phone, email or instore to discuss any ideas you might have. Design and Print is what we do. Let us guide you through the process. You won’t be disappointed.

We are asked this all the time. Our aim is to create something which you will like. If you like it, we know you may order it again. All we ask is that you give us as much concise information and direction as you can before we start the design process. Let us know if there are colours which we must use, font styles you like, example designs that inspire you.

The more information we have about the brief, the better the chance we will hit the mark. Remember, we allow for two rounds of revisions on foot of the first design we design for you so the closer we get the first design correct, the greater the chance you’ll love the last.

If you require more design work outside the initial design scope or if you want to make extra rounds of changes, there may be an additional charge. We’ll always let you know if there is a cost in advance!

Of course. We work with designers all the time. Simply send on your files and we will be in touch. Check here for info on how we like to have artwork supplied.

It is very important that you ensure that all information is correct before you place your order. But unfortunately mistakes do happen. If you do find that you have made a mistake it is important that you contact us immediately.

We want you to be happy so if your job has not been processed then there will be no charge and we will await your new file(s). If however your job has been completed or processed then unfortunately we would need to charge you the extra.

No. This is because the image you see on your screen is made up of RGB colours and your screen is in effect a big light bulb, so what you see is called additive colour. As paper cannot be illuminated, the ink colours do not have the benefit of enhancement by light, thus making them brighter (commonly referred to as subtractive colour).

We do however calibrate our printers to ensure the best colour range possible. If in doubt we recommend you order a hardcopy proof. If you do not order a proof you will be agreeing to accept any final prints unchecked.

Our system supports RGB (red, green, blue) for producing digital prints. We have accurately mapped colour palette to match RGB to CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, key) to ensure proper 4-colour printing.

300 dpi (dots per inch) is the resolution of the output PDF file.

We use offset printing, which provides the highest quality of print material for both text and images.

Keep text and logos well inside the trim edge so nothing gets clipped when we cut. Anything that runs to the edge, like a background colour or photo, should extend 3mm past it. That's your bleed. Your product page or template shows exact sizes, and those take priority.

Best to either embed your fonts in the PDF or convert the text to outlines, so nothing swaps or goes missing.

CMYK where you can. We can convert RGB for you, but colours can shift, especially bright blues and greens.

Pricing

Not at all. We rely on volume and bulk orders. We print our jobs ‘ganged up’ resulting in a more efficient printing service with greater economies of scale which we can therefore pass on our savings to you!

No, the price list indicates basic prices of products against the speculative quantities. The prices are calculated with regard to the most basic paper/card types, sizes and single side printing. As you know, the final printing cost depends on many parameters: paper/card weights or thickness (GSM/Pt), glossy or matt finish, 2 or 4 colors, square or rounded corners, single or double side printing, quantity, destination shipping charges and the mode of transport. Please use the indicative prices for calculating the basic cost. Once you place the order using the above parameters, we will quickly mail you the final, exact cost.

Our prices are shown ex VAT. Wedding, Memorial, Funeral and Photo products show the full price including VAT. VAT is itemised at checkout, so you'll always see the final total before you pay.

Artwork Guidelines | Print Ready Artwork

Occasionally, our customers may have an inhouse design team which is absolutely fine! All we ask is that you or they consult our artwork guidelines before submitting print ready files to ensure they comply with our systems and technologies.

Turnaround Time

Most orders take 2-7 working days. Bigger or specialist jobs take longer, and the date shows on each product page. Need it quicker? Give us a call.

While it may be possible to ship certain products more quickly sometimes for a small surcharge, other products may be more difficult to speed up. In order to avoid disappointment and miss deadlines, please make sure you allow enough time from the point of ordering to the point of delivery.

Please note that all delivery and turnaround times are calculated for the moment your “print ready” artwork is approved and not from when you place the order. All orders that are approved after 12pm are pushed to the following business day.

Yes, you can call us and speak to one of our experienced staff who will be happy to help you, or you can drop in for a chat. We are located at 275 Glasnevin Avenue.

Yes you can park outside to collect goods at no charge.

Of course, just call us on 01 858 1000 during normal office hours. We like helping people!

You have the freedom to personalize any product from our selection. Whether it's business cards or posters, our custom printing service is here to provide you with the tools necessary to promote your business effectively.

We strive to achieve the closest possible colour match for your artwork. Yet, exact replication isn't always guaranteed due to factors like texture, finish, and material type used in the project, which may impact the colours on the final printed product.

Images may appear blurry in print due to low resolution, resulting in pixelation. To address this issue, use an image with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.

Returns & Problems

Most of our printing is made to your spec, so the usual 14-day cooling-off right doesn't apply. If you need to cancel, tell us straight away. If we haven't started work or spent anything on it, we can often cancel. Once artwork is approved or production has begun, the order is locked in.

Tell us within 2 days of delivery with your order number, a few photos and what's wrong. Keep the goods until we've had a look. If it's our mistake, we'll put it right, usually with a reprint.

If we printed exactly what you approved, a typo or wrong phone number is an artwork error, not a print fault. We may offer a discounted reprint or goodwill credit, but it's not guaranteed. So check your proof carefully!

If we confirm a fault, or the law requires it, we'll refund you within 14 days, to your original payment method where we can.

Not usually. Screens and office printers aren't reliable for colour, and RGB-to-CMYK conversion or a different paper can shift things slightly. If an exact match matters, tell us before we print and we'll sort a proof.

Yes. Up to 3mm on trim and up to 10% on quantity is normal in commercial printing.
