Terms and Conditions of Sale

Last updated: August 2026

These Terms govern quotations, orders, goods and services supplied by Print Ready through printready.ie, email, telephone, quotation, payment link, in person or otherwise.

By placing an order, accepting a quotation, making payment, approving artwork or instructing us to proceed, you agree to these Terms. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

1. Definitions

“Print Ready”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Print Ready, 275 Glasnevin Avenue, Dublin 11, Ireland.

“Customer”, “you” and “your” mean the person, business or organisation ordering or requesting goods or services.

“Consumer” means an individual acting wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession.

“Business Customer” means a person or organisation acting wholly or mainly for business, trade or professional purposes.

“Artwork” includes files, text, images, photographs, logos, designs, data and other material supplied by or for the Customer.

“Proof” means a digital or physical representation supplied for review or approval.

“Goods” includes printed, manufactured, personalised, promotional, signage, clothing and other physical products.

“Services” includes printing, design, artwork preparation, finishing, installation and related services.

2. Application and Priority

These Terms apply unless Print Ready expressly agrees different terms in writing. Terms appearing on a Customer purchase order or other document do not override these Terms merely because we receive or process that document.

If a specific written quotation expressly varies these Terms for a particular job, the expressly varied term takes priority for that job.

3. Quotations

Unless otherwise stated, quotations are valid for 30 days and are based on information available when prepared. Changes to quantity, size, material, finishing, artwork, delivery, installation, turnaround or other specifications may change the price.

Quotations are subject to final inspection of artwork and specifications and do not oblige Print Ready to accept an order.

4. Orders and Acceptance

An automated acknowledgement does not necessarily amount to final acceptance. We may refuse or cancel an order before production where there is an obvious pricing/configuration error, unsuitable artwork, unavailable materials, inability to manufacture, payment failure, unlawful content or another reasonable obstacle to fulfilment.

A contract is formed when we confirm acceptance of your order in writing, including by email, or begin production, whichever is earlier.

If we cancel a paid order in circumstances where no amount is properly due for work or costs incurred, the appropriate amount will be refunded.

5. Pricing, VAT and Obvious Errors

Prices are in euro unless stated otherwise and VAT is applied where required. We may correct obvious pricing, typographical or configuration errors before production. Where payment was taken, we may offer the correct price or cancellation with an appropriate refund.

6. Payment

Payment in full is required before production begins unless credit terms have been agreed in writing. Online card payments are processed through Stripe.

Business Customers with approved credit terms must pay by the agreed due date. We may suspend work or further supply while overdue amounts remain unpaid.

For qualifying business-to-business commercial transactions, Print Ready reserves all statutory rights to late-payment interest, fixed compensation and reasonable recovery costs available under applicable Irish law.

7. Custom, Bespoke and Personalised Goods

A substantial proportion of our goods are produced or sourced specifically to Customer requirements. The 14-day cancellation right for online and distance purchases does not apply to goods made to your specification or clearly personalised. Once your order is accepted, you cannot cancel an order for such goods. Any change is at our discretion and may be chargeable. Costs already incurred remain payable. See our Returns, Reprints, Refunds, Cancellations & Complaints Policy.

8. Customer Specifications

The Customer is responsible for ensuring specifications are complete and accurate, including product, dimensions, quantity, material, finishing, colour requirements, personalisation data, delivery information and deadlines.

9. Customer Artwork

Unless expressly agreed otherwise, the Customer is responsible for supplying production-suitable artwork, including appropriate dimensions, bleed, safe areas, resolution, colour mode, fonts, image quality, page count, orientation and file format.

Our identification or correction of one issue does not create a duty to identify every other issue.

10. No General Proofreading Obligation

Unless proofreading is expressly purchased or agreed, Print Ready does not undertake to proofread Customer content.

The Customer is responsible for checking spelling, grammar, names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, URLs, dates, prices, quantities, QR codes, barcodes, photographs, page order, numerical information and all other content.

11. Proof Approval

Where a Proof is provided, approval is authority to proceed to production. The Customer must inspect the whole Proof.

Where the finished Goods materially correspond with an approved Proof, Print Ready is not responsible for an error that was visible in that Proof. Mandatory Consumer rights remain unaffected.

Changes after approval are subject to our ability to stop or alter production and may incur charges.

12. Technical Adjustments

We may make minor technical adjustments reasonably required for production, including colour-mode conversion, bleed correction, positioning, font handling or file preparation. Such adjustments are not a proofreading service. Adjustments made under this clause are covered by your approval of the Proof.

Where a proposed adjustment would materially alter the intended appearance or content, we will normally seek approval where reasonably practicable.

13. Colour

Screens are not contractual colour references. RGB/CMYK conversion, substrate, ink/toner, equipment, coating, finishing and production conditions can cause differences.

Unless a specific colour-matching method is expressly agreed, reasonable colour variation between screen and print, different substrates/processes, different production runs or a previous order does not by itself constitute a defect.

14. Production Tolerances

Commercial printing and manufacturing are subject to reasonable tolerances in trimming, positioning, folding, registration, dimensions, colour, finishing, binding, stitching, embroidery, cutting and similar processes.

A variation within reasonable tolerances for the relevant process will not ordinarily constitute a defect.

15. Materials and Substitution

Materials can vary between batches and manufacturers. If a specified material is unavailable, we may propose a reasonably comparable alternative. We will seek approval where a substitution would materially alter the order.

16. Repeat Orders

Previous Goods, samples or digital images do not guarantee an identical future production run. If matching is critical, the Customer must tell us before production and, where appropriate, provide a physical reference.

17. Quantity

Where a production process is inherently subject to manufacturing variation, quantities delivered may vary by up to 10 percent over or under the quantity ordered, and you will be charged for the quantity delivered, unless exact quantity has been expressly agreed as a material requirement. Mandatory Consumer rights remain unaffected.

18. Turnaround

Unless expressly guaranteed in writing, production and delivery dates are estimates. Production time generally begins only after usable artwork, final specifications, required approval and required payment have been received. Delay does not entitle you to cancel an order for personalised goods unless we have agreed a deadline in writing.

19. Critical Deadlines

If Goods are required for an event, launch, exhibition, wedding, funeral, promotion or other fixed deadline, the Customer must tell us before ordering. Time is not of the essence unless Print Ready expressly accepts a guaranteed deadline in writing.

20. Delivery

Delivery estimates are not guarantees unless expressly agreed. We may use third-party carriers. Customers must provide accurate delivery details.

Risk in the Goods passes to you on delivery to the address you gave, or on collection. Ownership passes when we receive payment in full.

Where delivery fails because of an incorrect address, refusal, absence or another Customer/recipient-related cause, reasonable redelivery charges may apply.

Nothing in this clause limits mandatory Consumer rights concerning delivery.

21. Inspection and Complaints

Customers should inspect Goods promptly. Complaints should be raised within 7 days of delivery for visible defects or shortages, and within 48 hours for transit damage. This does not affect your statutory rights. Please include the order/invoice number, description of the issue, quantity affected and photographs or samples where appropriate.

The Customer should preserve allegedly defective Goods and packaging and give us a reasonable opportunity to inspect them where this is necessary to assess the complaint. This does not remove any mandatory legal right.

22. Remedies and Partial Defects

Where Print Ready is responsible for a genuine production error, an appropriate remedy will be provided having regard to the circumstances and applicable law.

Where legally permitted and appropriate, our first proposed remedy may be rectification or reprint. If only part of an order is affected, a remedy may be limited to that affected part where lawful.

23. Customer Errors

Where Goods accurately reproduce Customer-supplied or Customer-approved Artwork, a Customer error does not become a Print Ready production error merely because it appears in the finished Goods.

Any discounted reprint or goodwill credit offered in such circumstances is discretionary and does not constitute an admission of liability.

24. Intellectual Property and Authority

The Customer warrants that it owns or has permission to reproduce material supplied to Print Ready and has authority to instruct us to process personal data contained in it.

Business Customers shall, to the extent permitted by law, indemnify Print Ready against reasonable third-party claims, losses and costs arising directly from unlawful or infringing material supplied by the Business Customer, except to the extent caused by Print Ready.

25. Prohibited Material

We may refuse or discontinue work we reasonably believe is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, infringing, unlawfully invasive of privacy or otherwise exposes Print Ready or its staff to material legal or regulatory risk.

Reasonable work and costs already incurred may remain payable where lawful.

26. Subcontracting

We may use trade printers, specialist manufacturers, finishers, couriers, installers and other subcontractors. Use of a subcontractor does not by itself alter the Customer's contract with Print Ready.

27. Customer-Supplied Property

Where Customers supply garments, paper, products, media or other property for processing, the work is subject to the inherent risk of the relevant production method. Adequate additional quantities should be supplied for setup and reasonable wastage.

We will exercise reasonable care but cannot guarantee zero spoilage. Unusually valuable or irreplaceable items must be disclosed before work begins.

28. Files and Archiving

We may retain production files to facilitate repeat orders but do not guarantee permanent archival storage. Customers must retain their own master copies.

29. Uncollected Goods

Customers should collect completed Goods within a reasonable period after notification. After 30 days from notification that your order is complete, storage charges apply. After 90 days the Goods may be disposed of, where lawful after reasonable final notice, and the price remains payable.

30. Force Majeure / Events Outside Reasonable Control

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for delay or failure caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including power failure, significant machinery breakdown, telecommunications or cyber incidents, fire, flood, severe weather, transport disruption, strikes, supply-chain interruption, material shortages, courier disruption, government restrictions or critical supplier failure.

We will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption where practicable.

31. BUSINESS CUSTOMERS - EXCLUDED LOSSES

This section applies only to Business Customers.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Print Ready shall not be liable for indirect, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, anticipated savings, contracts, goodwill, data, campaign value, event value or downstream customer claims arising from an affected order.

32. BUSINESS CUSTOMERS - LIABILITY CAP

This section applies only to Business Customers.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Print Ready's aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with an affected order, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, shall not exceed the total amount actually paid or payable to Print Ready for the affected Goods or Services giving rise to the claim.

Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

33. BUSINESS CUSTOMERS - DOWNSTREAM RISK

Business Customers acknowledge that the value of an event, campaign, mailing, contract, promotion, exhibition or other downstream activity may greatly exceed our charge.

Unless Print Ready expressly accepts additional liability in writing before accepting the order, our price does not include assumption of those downstream commercial risks. Business Customers should maintain appropriate insurance, contingency stock and backup arrangements where delay or error could cause disproportionate loss.

34. BUSINESS CUSTOMERS - CUSTOMER TERMS

Any Customer purchasing terms, procurement terms or purchase-order conditions are rejected and do not form part of the contract unless Print Ready expressly agrees to them in writing.

35. Consumers

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or waives mandatory rights or remedies available to Consumers under Irish or EU law. Where a provision conflicts with a mandatory Consumer right, that mandatory right prevails.

36. Website Content

Website descriptions, illustrations, photographs and samples assist Customers but screens may not accurately reproduce physical colours, texture, scale or finish. We may correct errors and update website content.

37. Portfolio Use

Where reasonable and lawful, we may photograph or refer to non-confidential completed commercial work for portfolio purposes. We will not intentionally publish confidential or sensitive personal material without an appropriate legal basis or permission. Customers requiring confidentiality should tell us before ordering.

38. Goodwill

A goodwill refund, discount, credit, replacement or reprint is not an admission of liability and does not create a precedent or obligation for another order.

39. Waiver

Failure or delay in exercising a contractual right on one occasion does not waive that right.

40. Severability

If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, it shall be severed or limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remainder shall continue where legally possible.

41. Entire Agreement - Business Customers

For Business Customers, these Terms, the accepted quotation/order and expressly agreed written specifications constitute the agreement for the order and supersede prior representations concerning the same subject matter, except that nothing excludes fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

42. Assignment

Business Customers may not assign or transfer an order or contractual right without our prior written consent. Print Ready may assign receivables or transfer performance to an appropriate successor or subcontractor where this does not unlawfully reduce the Customer's rights.

43. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Irish law. Subject to mandatory Consumer jurisdiction rights, the Irish courts shall have jurisdiction.

Schedule 1 - Artwork & Proof Approval Terms

Last updated: August 2026

These terms are designed to be shown or linked whenever a Customer approves artwork or instructs Print Ready to proceed to production. They supplement our Terms & Conditions of Sale.

1. Customer Approval

By approving a Proof or Artwork, the Customer confirms that they have reviewed the complete file and authorise Print Ready to proceed to production.

2. What the Customer Must Check

Before approval, the Customer must check all relevant matters, including:

  • spelling and grammar;
  • names and titles;
  • telephone numbers;
  • email and postal addresses;
  • website addresses;
  • dates and times;
  • prices and numerical information;
  • QR codes and barcodes;
  • photographs and logos;
  • page order and orientation;
  • dimensions and quantities;
  • layout and positioning; and
  • all other visible content.

3. Proofreading

Unless expressly agreed as a paid or included service, Print Ready does not undertake to proofread Customer content.

A correction made by Print Ready does not mean we have checked or accepted responsibility for all other content.

4. Screen Representation

A digital Proof is primarily for checking content and layout. Screen colours are not an exact representation of printed output.

Reasonable colour variation can arise from RGB/CMYK conversion, monitors, substrates, inks/toners, coatings and production methods.

5. Resolution and Image Quality

The Customer should review image quality at an appropriate scale. Low-resolution, compressed, enlarged or otherwise unsuitable images may reproduce with visible pixelation, softness or artefacts.

If Print Ready warns of a quality issue and the Customer instructs us to proceed, the Customer accepts the identified risk to the extent permitted by law.

6. Approval Starts Production

Approval may trigger production immediately. After approval, amendments or cancellation may be impossible or may incur charges for work, materials or production already committed.

7. Customer-Originated Errors

Where finished Goods materially correspond with the approved Proof, Print Ready is not responsible for an error that was visible in that Proof.

Nothing in these terms removes mandatory Consumer rights where Goods do not conform to the contract.

8. Authority

The person approving Artwork confirms that they are authorised to approve it on behalf of the Customer and that the Customer has the necessary rights and permissions for material supplied for reproduction.

9. Recommended Approval Wording

For online approval:

“I have checked the complete artwork/proof, including spelling, names, dates, contact details, dimensions, layout, images, QR codes and other content. I understand that screen colours may differ from printed colours and that reasonable production tolerances apply. I approve this artwork for production and understand that changes or cancellation may incur charges once production or committed costs begin.”

Customer Databases and Variable-Data Printing

Where a Customer supplies databases, spreadsheets, mailing lists, names, addresses, numbering sequences, barcodes, personalisation fields or other variable data, the Customer is responsible for the accuracy, completeness, ordering and lawful use of that data. Print Ready is entitled to reproduce or process the supplied data according to the agreed instructions and is not responsible for an error originating in Customer-supplied data where our production materially follows those instructions.

The Customer should retain a master copy of all variable data. Any data-cleaning, deduplication, address validation, proofreading or database checking is outside the standard service unless expressly agreed.

Confidentiality

Each party shall take reasonable care of non-public confidential information received from the other in connection with an order. Print Ready may disclose Customer confidential information to employees, advisers, couriers and production/service partners to the extent reasonably necessary to perform the order, protect legal rights or comply with law. This clause does not apply to information already lawfully public, independently obtained without a duty of confidence, or required to be disclosed by law.

Customer Accounts and Authority

Customers are responsible for keeping account credentials secure and for promptly notifying Print Ready of suspected unauthorised access. For Business Customer accounts, Print Ready may reasonably treat an order, approval or instruction placed through credentials supplied to that Business Customer or by a person who reasonably appears authorised to act for it as authorised, unless Print Ready has been notified of compromise or lack of authority before acting on it.

Split and Partial Consignments

Print Ready may fulfil an order in more than one production batch or delivery consignment where reasonably necessary. A split consignment does not by itself constitute non-performance, provided the order is completed within the agreed or applicable timeframe and mandatory Consumer rights are respected.

Originals and Irreplaceable Customer Property

Customers should not provide the only copy of an irreplaceable photograph, document, artwork, storage device, sample or other item without first telling Print Ready and obtaining our agreement to handle it. Customers should retain copies or backups wherever reasonably possible. We will exercise reasonable care with Customer property. For Business Customers, any liability relating to Customer-supplied property remains subject to the Business Customer liability provisions in these Terms to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Print File Guidelines

Customer-supplied artwork should comply with the current Print Ready Print File Guidelines published on our website or otherwise supplied to the Customer. The Guidelines explain practical production requirements such as bleed, safe areas, resolution, colour mode, fonts, QR codes and file formats. The Guidelines supplement these Terms but do not remove mandatory Consumer rights.
