For data protection purposes, Print Ready is the data controller in respect of personal information processed for its own business purposes.

We process personal data in accordance with the GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and other applicable Irish and EU data-protection law.

2. Information We May Collect

Depending on your interaction with us, we may collect your name, company or organisation, billing and delivery addresses, email address, telephone number, account details, quotation and enquiry information, order history, product specifications, transaction information, delivery details, communications, artwork, photographs, logos, documents and other files, marketing preferences, IP address, browser/device information, website usage information, and cookie/analytics information where permitted.

Artwork and files supplied for printing may themselves contain personal data relating to you or other people.

3. How We Use Information

We may process information to provide quotations; respond to enquiries; create and administer accounts; process and fulfil orders; prepare artwork and proofs; manufacture goods; process payments; arrange delivery or collection; provide customer support; facilitate repeat orders; maintain financial and business records; prevent fraud and misuse; protect our systems; comply with legal obligations; improve our services; analyse website usage; measure advertising performance; and send marketing where permitted.

Print Ready does not sell customer personal data or customer databases to third parties.

4. Lawful Bases

Depending on the circumstances, we rely on:

  • Contract or steps taken at your request before entering a contract, including quotations, orders, production, payment and delivery.
  • Legal obligation, including tax, accounting, regulatory and other statutory requirements.
  • Legitimate interests, including operating and protecting our business, maintaining appropriate records, customer service, fraud prevention, dispute management and improving services, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Consent, where required, including certain marketing and non-essential cookies, analytics and advertising technologies.
  • Where processing is based on consent, consent may be withdrawn at any time without affecting processing already lawfully carried out.

5. Quotations and Enquiries

When you contact us or use a quotation form, we may collect contact details, specifications, quantities, dimensions, deadlines, artwork and other project information. We use this to understand your requirements, prepare a quotation, respond to you and, where applicable, take steps towards a contract.

6. Accounts and Orders

Customer accounts may contain contact information, addresses, order history, saved projects and other information necessary to provide our services. Customers are responsible for protecting their login credentials and should notify us of suspected unauthorised access.

7. Artwork, Print Files and Third-Party Data

Customers may provide files containing names, photographs, addresses, contact information or other personal data. Customers are responsible for ensuring they have an appropriate lawful basis, authority or permission to provide such data to Print Ready and to instruct us to process it for the requested job.

We process such material primarily to provide the requested printing or related service. Customers should not provide unnecessary special-category or highly sensitive information.

8. Payments

Online card payments are processed by our payment provider (currently Stripe). Payment information is provided to Stripe as necessary to process transactions, prevent fraud and provide payment services. Print Ready does not ordinarily receive or store complete payment-card details.

9. Service Providers and Production Partners

Where reasonably necessary, information may be shared with trusted providers such as website and hosting providers, payment processors, couriers, cloud and IT providers, professional advisers, trade printers, specialist manufacturers, finishers, installers, promotional-product suppliers and other production partners.

We seek to provide only information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose. Use of a production partner does not permit that partner to use customer information for unrelated purposes.

10. Analytics, Advertising and Marketing Technology

We do not currently use Google Analytics, Google Ads or social-media advertising tools on our website. If we add any, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy and our Cookie Policy.

Our Cookie Policy lists the cookies and similar technologies we use.

11. Marketing

Where you have subscribed or where otherwise permitted by law, we may send information about Print Ready products, offers and services. You can unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email or by contacting us. Opting out of marketing does not prevent transactional communications concerning orders, quotations, accounts or payments.

12. Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and to satisfy legal, accounting, tax, dispute-resolution and legitimate operational requirements.

Financial and transaction records may be retained for statutory periods. Artwork and production files may be retained for a reasonable period to facilitate queries, complaints, reprints and repeat orders. We do not promise permanent archival storage and customers should retain their own master files.

When information is no longer reasonably required, it may be deleted, anonymised or securely disposed of.

13. International Transfers

Some service providers may process data outside Ireland or the EEA. Where applicable, we take reasonable steps to use a lawful transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards required by data-protection law.

14. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorised access, loss, alteration, disclosure or misuse. No electronic system can be guaranteed completely secure.

15. Personal Data Breaches

Where a personal-data breach occurs, Print Ready will assess and respond to it in accordance with applicable law, including notification to the Data Protection Commission and/or affected individuals where legally required.

16. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law and exceptions, you may have rights to access your data; correct inaccurate data; request erasure; restrict processing; object to certain processing; receive certain data in portable form; withdraw consent; and object to direct marketing.

Requests may be sent to hello@printready.ie. We may take reasonable steps to verify identity before acting on a request.

17. Complaints

Please contact Print Ready first if you have a privacy concern so that we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission.

Our website may link to third-party services. Print Ready is not responsible for the privacy practices of independent third-party websites.

Part B - Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 2026

1. Purpose

This policy explains how Print Ready uses cookies and similar technologies on printready.ie. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.

2. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small files or identifiers placed or accessed on a device when a website is used. Similar technologies can include pixels, tags, local storage and software development or measurement tools. In this policy, “cookies” includes comparable tracking technologies where appropriate.

3. Strictly Necessary Cookies

Strictly necessary cookies do not need consent because the site cannot work without them. We use them for:

  • your shopping basket and checkout;
  • account login;
  • security and fraud prevention, including Google reCAPTCHA on our forms;
  • payment functionality; and
  • keeping your session working.

Blocking these through browser settings may prevent parts of the website from working.

4. Analytics Cookies

We do not currently use analytics cookies. If we start using them, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.

5. Advertising and Conversion Cookies

We do not currently use advertising, remarketing or conversion-tracking cookies. If we start using them, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.

6. Functionality Cookies

We do not currently set optional functionality cookies.

7. Third-Party Technologies

Our website shows Google reviews through an embedded widget, uses Google reCAPTCHA to protect forms, and uses a payment provider for card payments. These services may set their own cookies or collect technical data, such as your IP address, under their own privacy policies.

8. Consent Choices

We do not currently show a cookie banner because we do not use non-essential cookies. Before we add any analytics, advertising or similar tool, we will add a cookie banner (Accept All, Reject Non-Essential and Manage Preferences) and switch those tools on only after you choose.

9. Withdrawing or Changing Consent

Once the banner is in place, you will be able to change or withdraw your choice at any time in Cookie Settings. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.

10. Browser Controls

Cookies can also be deleted or blocked through browser settings. Blocking all cookies may impair essential website features.

11. Cookie List

We use only essential cookies, which keep your basket, login and security working, plus the third-party services in section 7. We will list any non-essential cookies here, with the provider, purpose and how long they last, before we use them. We review this policy whenever our website technology changes.

Customer Databases, Mailing Lists and Variable Data

Some print and fulfilment services may require a Customer to provide a database, spreadsheet, mailing list, address list, numbering sequence, employee/customer list or other variable-personalisation data. Where Print Ready processes personal data solely on a Customer's documented instructions for such a job, the Customer is responsible for determining that it has a lawful basis and appropriate authority to collect, use and provide that data.

Where GDPR treats Print Ready as a processor acting on behalf of a Customer who is the controller, the parties will comply with the applicable controller/processor requirements. Where required, a separate data-processing agreement containing the mandatory Article 28 terms may be entered into.

Print Ready will use Customer-supplied variable data only as reasonably necessary to perform the requested service, meet legal obligations, secure the service and deal with related queries or disputes, and will not use such data for unrelated marketing.

Confidential Business Information

Print Ready may receive non-public commercial information that is not personal data, including unreleased artwork, price lists, tender documents, internal reports, campaign material and product information. We take reasonable steps to keep such information confidential and may disclose it only to personnel and service or production partners who reasonably need it to perform the relevant work, or where disclosure is required by law. Customers should clearly identify unusually sensitive or embargoed material before ordering so that any special handling requirements can be agreed.
