Smaller sizes, A3 and A2, hold reliably at normal motorway speeds. Larger signs can lift at the edges in strong crosswinds or at very high speeds. For regular motorway use, consider whether the larger formats are appropriate for your typical driving conditions.

Not if used correctly. Clean both the vehicle surface and the back of the sign before applying, and remove the sign regularly to clean underneath. Grit or moisture trapped between the sign and the panel over extended periods can cause fine scratching. Never apply to a surface with existing paint damage or a fresh respray.

Magnetic signs adhere to steel and iron surfaces. Most van and car body panels are steel and work well. Aluminium panels, plastic bumpers, fibreglass body panels, and older vehicles with significant filler repairs may not hold the sign securely. Check your vehicle's panel material before ordering.

Supply a print-ready PDF in CMYK colour mode with a minimum of 3mm bleed on all sides. Keep text, phone numbers, and logos well inside the finished edge. Content too close to the edge may be obscured by door seals or body panel curves on the vehicle.

Bold, simple layouts with large text and clear contact information read better from a distance and from moving vehicles than complex detailed designs. A business name, phone number, and logo in high contrast colours against the background will outperform a design with multiple small elements competing for attention.

Store flat, on a shelf, in a drawer, or placed flat in a van. Do not roll or fold. Creasing the magnetic sheet affects how flat the sign sits on the vehicle surface and is difficult to reverse once it has set into the material.

Lead times are confirmed at order stage and run from receipt of print-ready artwork. Standard turnaround is typically three to five working days, subject to current production schedules.

With correct use and storage, a well-maintained magnetic sign will last two to three years before the print or magnetic backing begins to degrade noticeably. UV exposure, heat from prolonged sun exposure, and physical creasing are the main factors that shorten the lifespan.

Magnetic signs are designed for regular removal and reapplication rather than permanent display. Leaving a sign on for very long periods without removal can cause the magnetic backing to bond more firmly to the surface in heat, and moisture trapped underneath can mark the paintwork. Remove regularly and store flat.
