More about Memorial Bookmarks Printing Ireland

Memorial bookmarks are personalised printed keepsakes given to family and friends following a bereavement, usually at the funeral or alongside acknowledgement cards. Sized at 60x160mm, they are designed to be practical and used regularly rather than stored away, placed inside books, prayer books, or missals where they are seen often over time.

PrintReady.ie produces memorial bookmarks full colour on 350gsm premium cardstock with gloss lamination on both sides, supplied in quantities from 25 to 200.

A small format, but one that remains present in everyday use.

Memorial Bookmarks for Funerals in Ireland

Memorial bookmarks are commonly used across Ireland as part of funeral stationery.

They are distributed at the funeral home, handed out at the church, or posted to recipients after the service. Because they are functional as well as commemorative, they tend to stay with people longer than many other printed items.

For families, they provide a simple way to share a meaningful keepsake that reflects the person being remembered.

Printed Funeral Bookmarks with Photo and Prayer

The bookmark format provides two printable sides in a slim vertical layout.

The front typically includes a photograph of the deceased, along with their name, dates, and a short prayer or verse. The reverse side can carry an additional prayer, reflection, or personal message.

Common inclusions are psalms, scripture passages, or lines that held significance for the individual or their family. The same photograph is often used across other memorial stationery for consistency.

Custom Memorial Bookmark Printing 60x160mm

At 60x160mm, memorial bookmarks are designed to fit neatly inside books without damaging pages or slipping out easily.

The narrow format keeps the layout focused, with clear typography and balanced spacing so text remains legible. The vertical design also works well with portrait photographs, which are commonly used on the front face.

Artwork should be prepared with readability in mind, as the available space is limited compared to larger printed formats.

350gsm Gloss Laminated Memorial Bookmarks Ireland

Memorial bookmarks are printed on 350gsm cardstock and finished with gloss lamination on both sides.

This combination gives the bookmark a firm, durable feel and protects the surface from everyday wear. The laminate layer helps prevent marking, moisture damage, and edge scuffing, which is important for an item that will be handled frequently.

The gloss finish also enhances colour depth, particularly for photographs, helping the image remain clear and visually strong over time.

Why Memorial Bookmarks Are Used as Keepsakes

Unlike larger memorial items, bookmarks are designed to stay in use.

They are placed inside books, prayer books, and missals, meaning they are encountered regularly. This creates a subtle, ongoing connection to the person being remembered, rather than something that is stored away and rarely seen.

For many families in Ireland, this practical aspect is what makes memorial bookmarks a meaningful choice.

What to Include on a Memorial Bookmark Design

Typical content includes:

• Photograph of the deceased
• Full name and dates
• Short prayer, verse, or quote on the front
• Additional prayer, reflection, or tribute on the reverse
• Optional short biographical line or personal message

Because of the size, content should remain concise and readable. A clear layout and appropriate font size are important to ensure the bookmark remains practical in everyday use.
