Supplying Artwork Guidelines
Supplying Artwork
At Print Ready, we want your finished print to look as professional as possible. Follow our artwork guidelines to ensure your files print perfectly every time.
Tip: Always double-check your artwork before uploading, errors in setup can cause blurriness, trimming issues or colour inconsistencies.
1. File Formats
We recommend submitting artwork as high-resolution PDFs with all fonts embedded. Other accepted formats include EPS, TIFF, JPEG and AI files, provided they meet print specifications.

2. Resolution
All images should be supplied at a minimum of 300 dpi at the final printed size. Low-resolution images may appear pixelated when printed.
3. Colour Format
Ensure your files are set to CMYK colour mode. Files in RGB may print darker or with unexpected tones. Spot colours should be converted to CMYK unless otherwise agreed.
4. Bleed and Safe Area
All artwork should include at least 3 mm bleed on every edge. Keep all essential text and logos 5 mm inside the trim area to avoid accidental cropping.

5. Fonts
Embed or outline all fonts to avoid substitution issues. If you’re unsure how, export your file as a “Print-ready PDF” and check the font properties in your PDF viewer.
6. Checking Your File
- Ensure all images are linked and not missing.
- Double-check spelling and grammar.
- Confirm artwork dimensions match the ordered size.
- Include crop marks and correct bleed.
- Flatten transparencies before exporting.
7. Uploading Files
Once your artwork is complete, upload your file directly through our website at printready.ie/file-upload or send via WeTransfer for large files. Please include your order number in the message box for easy tracking.
