Election posters and campaign signs printed in Ireland

Make a lasting impression this campaign season. Custom-printed election posters and signs from Print Ready are built to be seen from a moving car, read in a few seconds and survive an Irish winter on a lamp post.

Printed in Ireland by a family business

Print Ready is one of the oldest family-owned print businesses in Ireland, with over 30 years in the trade. We print large-format election posters for candidates and parties across the country, and we know how tight a campaign calendar gets.

Our team can turn a rough idea into a poster that carries your message and your personality. We print on premium, weather-resistant materials with vibrant colour, so your name and face stay sharp from the first canvass to polling day.

Posters and signs that work on the road

Most campaign posters are read from a distance and at speed. A few things make the difference:

  • One clear message. A name, a short slogan and a face is plenty.
  • Big, bold type with strong contrast against the background.
  • Party colours and logo used consistently, so voters recognise you across constituencies.
  • Plenty of space around the text so nothing is lost at the edges.

Choosing a material

Different spots call for different materials. Lightweight, rigid boards suit lamp posts and fences, while larger signs and banners suit gates, buildings and event stages.

  • Corriboard is light, rigid and weather resistant, a campaign favourite.
  • Foamex gives a smooth, flat finish for sharp, clean graphics.
  • PVC banners suit larger spaces, venues and fundraising events.
  • Paper posters work well for windows, halls and community notice boards.

Campaign sign printing

Election signs are an impactful addition to your marketing mix. Placed along busy commuter routes and in community spots, they build name recognition and show local support. Our signs are made from durable material that stands up to winter weather and busy public places. Sizes run from standard to oversized, so you can match each location.

Rules on where and when posters can go up are set by law and by your local authority, so check the current requirements for your constituency before you plan your placements.

Top tips for campaign artwork

  • Resolution: use a minimum of 300 dpi for images.
  • Text: keep text and important information in from the edge, and allow 3mm bleed on artwork that runs to the edge.
  • Colour: limit your colour palette for the best result, and think about how your colours look on the paper or board.
  • Design: give the elements room to breathe, and avoid borders where possible.
  • Get creative: a bold idea is remembered longer than a busy layout.
